Summer Term

PE Team Games

We had some fun working in teams, using our throwing and aiming skills, along with moving in different ways to win the race.

History in our local area

We have been looking at our local area and talking about what the significant history is. We have looked at how our local area has changed, what has changed and what is still the same.

Money in Maths

We have been learning more about money. Understanding the value of coins and ways to represent the values. We have been thinking about the vocabulary that we use to explain our thinking, showing our understanding.

Date recording in Computing

We have been understanding the meaning of data by identifying the number of animals at a zoo and developing visual ways to represent the numbers.

Our School Trip to Delamere Forest

We had a great time on our school trip to Delamere Forest. The children created some great transient art, worked in teams, used their senses to touch and feel the trees and learnt about our natural woodlands. So many smiles on a very hot day.

Art - 3D Sculptures

We looked at different ways to shape paper to create our 3D art, thinking about positioning and overlapping.

We used online Bee-Bots to learn about direction and used directional language.

In PSHE we have learnt about money, how to keep it safe and why we would use a bank.

The children created beautiful story maps for 'The Queen's Hat', such great focus and engagement.

In Art we looked at different ways to use paper to make a 3D structure.

Using resources to support our learning and understanding.

We worked in pairs to write our instructions to walk from the classroom to church. We used time openers and verbs in our writing.

We have been looking at odd and even numbers using our numicon in maths.

We have been counting in 2s, 5s, 10s. We have sung counting songs, looked at different ways to make the numbers and then counting up. We had fun playing games too to help us remember.
