We looked at artistic images of Mary and reflected on what we liked/disliked. We read some stories about Mary and researched shrines to Our Lady around the world. We drew a piece of artwork based on our own representation of Mary or using the shrine we researched.
Our Lenten fundraiser
A huge thank you for supporting our Lenten fundraiser. We had a wonderful day completing our bike and scooter relay and we raised lots of money for CAFOD, thank you!!
We went over to our beautiful Church to look at the Stations of the Cross. We spent time reflecting at each Station talking about the events leading up to the Crucifiction of Jesus.
Stations of the Cross for our Prayer Garden
We looked very closely at the beautiful Stations of the Cross at St Mary's - The Hidden Gem in Manchester. We focused on the VIII station, The Women of Jerusalem Mourn for Our Lord and we used different medium to create our own representations. The children then worked on one final piece which will be added to our school prayer garden.

We completed large Venn diagrams to show ways in which Jesus was human, Jesus was God and any ways he demonstrated both at the same time.
